How TrackSwap works

A safer, more organized way to buy and sell used racing parts — for buyers and sellers alike.

Preview build. TrackSwap is not yet processing live payments. Listings, reviews, and order activity you see are sample data showing how the finished flow will work.

For buyers

  1. Search with fitment in mind. Filter by racing type, vehicle make/model/year, brand, part number, condition, and price so you find parts that actually fit your build.
  2. Ask questions in-platform. Message the seller through TrackSwap. Keeping the conversation on-platform protects you and creates a record if anything goes wrong.
  3. Check out securely. Pay by card through Stripe — your payment details never touch the seller. This is how checkout will work once live payments are enabled; this preview does not process real charges.
  4. Get it shipped or pick it up. Choose flat-rate shipping with tracking, or arrange a local pickup and confirm the handoff in-app.
  5. Leave a review. After the sale completes, rate the seller so the next buyer knows what to expect.
  6. Something wrong? Cancel or open a dispute.Orders that haven't shipped yet can be cancelled directly. After that, use disputesto flag an item that never arrived, arrived damaged, or wasn't as described.

For sellers

  1. List in minutes. Add photos, a description, and structured fitment details. Save a draft and finish later, then preview before you publish.
  2. Connect a payout account. Onboard with Stripe Connect so funds from your sales can be paid out to your bank once live payments are enabled.
  3. Respond and sell. Answer buyer questions, accept offers, and manage everything from your seller dashboard.
  4. Ship and get paid. Add a tracking number or confirm a pickup. After a short protection window, your payout will be released, minus the TrackSwap platform fee — delayed payouts are planned for launch and not yet active in this preview.
  5. Get verified (optional). Apply for the verified badge once you've made a few sales — it shows buyers you're a real, established seller.

Fees

Listing is free, and TrackSwap only charges a fee when your item actually sells. The seller fee is tiered by sale price:

  • Under $100: 10% TrackSwap fee
  • $100 – $499.99: 7% TrackSwap fee
  • $500+: 5% TrackSwap fee

On top of the TrackSwap fee, an estimated payment-processing fee (2.9% + $0.30) applies, shown separately at listing time. There are no listing fees, no hidden charges, and no fee to buyers beyond shipping and any applicable tax.

Payment protection

This preview does not process real payments, so no payment protection is active yet — but you can see exactly how the workflow will run on any order page: payment held while the order is in progress, a short review window after delivery, then payout. When live transactions are enabled, payments will be processed and held by our payment processor (Stripe) during the transaction, and seller payouts will be scheduled after the order is fulfilled — TrackSwap will not operate a legal escrow service. Disputes

If an order doesn't go as expected — the item never arrives, arrives damaged, or isn't as described — either the buyer or seller can open a dispute directly from the order. It pauses that order's payout and starts a message thread that our team can step into. See your open and past disputes at /disputes.
