Prohibited items

Strictly prohibited

• Counterfeit or replica parts represented as genuine branded products.
• Stolen goods, or any item with a removed, defaced, or altered serial number, VIN, or identifying mark.
• Safety equipment misrepresented as certified— e.g. helmets, suits, gloves, harnesses, head & neck restraints, seats, or fire systems listed as current SFI/FIA/Snell-rated when the certification is expired or was never valid. Expired safety gear may only be listed with the expiration clearly disclosed and marked expired or display/recreational use only — never as currently competition legal.
• Crash-involved helmets or head & neck restraints listed as usable safety equipment.Once a helmet or head & neck restraint has been involved in a crash, it may only be listed as display only — not suitable for competition or safety use, regardless of its original certification date. It can never be listed as current or as merely expired.
• Emissions-defeat devices or parts marketed primarily to bypass or disable emissions controls on vehicles used on public roads, where prohibited by law.
• Recalled parts subject to an active safety recall.
• Weapons, explosives, hazardous materials, or any item whose sale is restricted or illegal in the buyer's or seller's jurisdiction.
• Airbags, seatbelt pretensioners, and other pyrotechnic safety-restraint components, which are restricted for resale in many regions.

Seller responsibilities

• You must have the legal right to sell the item and the authority to transfer ownership.
• You must accurately describe condition, certification status, and fitment.
• You are responsible for complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

Driver gear & safety equipment disclosures

When listing helmets, racing suits, gloves, shoes, or head & neck and arm restraints, sellers must accurately disclose:

• Whether the certification is expired
• Whether the item was involved in a crash
• Any visible damage
• Any modifications from stock
• Any missing components
• Any known defects

A crash-involved helmet or head & neck restraint must be listed as display only — not suitable for competition or safety use — no matter what its original certification date was. Sellers may not label crash-involved helmets or restraints as current or competition legal.

TrackSwap does not inspect, test, or independently certify used safety equipment listed on the platform, and does not guarantee that any item meets a track's or sanctioning body's requirements — certification and condition details come from the seller. Buyers should verify current requirements with their track, sanctioning body, and the manufacturer before relying on any used safety item in competition.

Enforcement

Listings that violate this policy will be unpublished. Repeat or serious violations will result in account suspension and may be reported to the appropriate authorities. TrackSwap reserves the right to remove any listing at its discretion to protect the community.
