Payments are not yet live. Listings and accounts are real, but checkout is running in a safe preview mode — no real payment will be processed until live payments are enabled.

Trust & safety

Buy and sell with confidence

Racing parts are expensive. Here's how to protect yourself — and how TrackSwap protects you.

Golden rule:Never pay or accept payment outside TrackSwap. If someone asks you to use Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, wire transfer, gift cards, or crypto, it's almost always a scam — report them.

For buyers

  • Keep it on-platform. Message and pay through TrackSwap so your transaction is recorded and protected.
  • Verify fitment before you buy. Ask for part numbers, casting marks, and extra photos. Confirm year/make/model compatibility.
  • Read the seller's reviews.Check their rating, sales count, and how long they've been a member.
  • Look for the verified badge.A verified seller has confirmed their identity with TrackSwap — it's not an inspection or guarantee of any listing's condition, just confirmation there's a real person or business behind the account.
  • Be wary of deals that are too good. Under-market prices and pressure to act fast are classic scam signals.

For sellers

  • Describe honestly. Disclose wear, damage, and missing hardware. Accurate listings mean fewer disputes and better reviews.
  • Ship with tracking. Always add a tracking number. Once live payouts are enabled, tracking will be what protects your payout if a buyer claims non-delivery.
  • Never accept off-platform payment.A buyer who wants to pay you directly to "save fees" may be setting up a chargeback or scam.

How payment will work

TrackSwap is currently a preview and does not process real payments — nothing you see in checkout results in an actual charge. Secure checkout and delayed seller payouts (funds released after tracking is added or pickup is confirmed) are planned for launch. Payment protection will become available once live transactions are enabled; see our Terms for how that arrangement will work.

Disputes & order problems

Most orders don't need this, but if one does: an order that hasn't shipped yet can be cancelled directly from either side. Once it has, either the buyer or seller can open a dispute— item never arrived, arrived damaged, wasn't as described, wrong item, or an unauthorized charge. Opening a dispute pauses that order's payout and starts a message thread the other party and our team can see. We review disputes and decide whether a refund is warranted; we don't guarantee a particular outcome, but every dispute gets a real look.

Buying used safety equipment

Helmets, suits, gloves, shoes, and head & neck restraints are disclosed by the seller — TrackSwap does not inspect, test, or independently certify used safety equipment listed on the platform. Before you rely on any used safety item in competition:

  • Check the listing's certification status and expiration date. Expired or display/recreational-only items are clearly labeled and must never be presented as currently competition legal.
  • A helmet or head & neck restraint that was involved in a crash is always display only — not suitable for competition or safety use — no matter its certification date. Never trust one labeled otherwise.
  • Read any disclosed crash history, damage, modifications, or missing components before you buy.
  • Verify current requirements with your track, sanctioning body, and the manufacturer — certification rules vary and change over time. TrackSwap does not guarantee any item meets those requirements.

Prohibited & unsafe items

Counterfeit parts, stolen goods, items with removed or altered identifying numbers, and safety equipment sold as certified when it is not, are strictly prohibited. Read the full Prohibited Items policy.

Report a problem

Use the Report option on any listing, profile, message, or review. Our moderation team can unpublish listings, suspend accounts, and cooperate with authorities where appropriate. Reporting is for flagging content or behavior to our team — for a problem with a specific order (wrong item, damage, non-delivery), open a disputeinstead so it's tied to the order and its payout.
